The purpose of the Student-Superintendent Advisory Council (SSAC) is to support Carlsbad Unified School District's goal to promote a high-quality learning environment. The SSAC will advise the Superintendent on educational topics and student-related issues. We will also discuss the positive activities, events, and educational programs happening in our high schools. What is the level of Commitment from Members? The SSAC will meet four or five times throughout the year, either before or after school and possibly on early release days. The first meeting of the 2021-22 school year will be via Google Meet. For any in-person meetings this year, transportation to/from the meeting locations will be arranged by you. The goal is for representatives to come from different high schools, grade levels, and geographic areas of the district. There is limited space on the Student-Superintendent Advisory Council. Selection will be determined based on your completed application. Please complete this application by September 15, 2021. If you have any questions, contact CUSD Student Services Specialist Rosemary Eshelman at . Please note - at the end of the application, you'll need to upload a one-minute video describing why you want to be part of the SSAC. Please let Mrs. Eshelman know if you have any problems uploading your video. Can you please post this out to students and on your websites the deadline is September 15, 2021? If you know of a student please encourage them to apply Thanks, Rosemary
