The City of Carlsbad is seeking responsible, eager, creative teen volunteers ages 15 to 19 to become Summer Arts Camp Counselors (SACC) for our camps programs. Volunteering during our Club Pelican or Creative Arts Camp programs is a fun way to spend part of your summer and a great way to learn about various types of art forms, working with children (and adults) and a great way to gain experience. Candidates interested in this opportunity should complete and submit attachedapplication, along with the supplemental questionnaire. All completed camp counselor application materials are due on Thursday, May 11 by 4 p.m. Early submissions may be granted interviews before mid-May.

The Carlsbad High School Speech and Debate team is hosting another Middle School Workshop teaching Congressional Debate on Mondays in May.This Debate is especially interesting and unique as it is a toned down model of the United States Congress.
