Our CHS Speech and Debate Team has won the San Diego League State Qualifying Tournament and named the 2020-21 League Champions ! Actually, we won the trifecta, 1st Place Grand Sweepstakes, League Speech Champions and League Debate Champions. In addition, we qualified 31 students to compete in the California State Championships, winning spots in ALL 17 events! CHS has 5 Event Champions: Aly Sutherland (Congress Presiding Officer); Katelyn Lewis (Lincoln Douglas Debate); Connor Lynaugh and Ryan Baylon (Policy Debate); Alyssa Nguyen (Humorous Interpretation); and Arjun Venkatesh (International Extemp) Special congratulations to Arjun Venkatesh for being named San Diego League Competitor of theYear !
