Lancers, Would you like to serve as a representative of your school to the Superintendent? TheSuperintendent-Student Advisory Council (SSAC) is your opportunity to help make CHSthe very BEST we can be. The purpose of the Superintendent-Student Advisory Council (SSAC) is to support CUSD’s goal to promote a high quality learning environment. The SSAC will advise the Superintendent on educational topics and student-related issues. We will also discuss the positive activities, events and educational programs happening in our high schools. What is the level of Commitment from Members? The Council will meet quarterly throughout the year.You will have to get transportation to and from meetings. Locations and times will be arranged through Mrs. Eshelman. The goal is for representatives to come from different high schools, grade levels, and geographic areas of the district. There is limited space on the Student Advisory Council. Selection will be determined based upon your completed application and staff recommendation. Please return your completed application (attached) by September 26, 2016 to Mrs. Eshelman at . Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council Participant Expectations · Be prepared to talk about issues and ideas you think are important to you and students in CUSD. · Attend all regularly scheduled meetings. · Return signed parent/school permission slips to attend meetings. · Make arrangements with your teacher to complete any missing assignments or tests. · Share information with peers in person as well as social media · Represent as an ambassador in the community
