The Carlsbad Unified Council of PTAs was busier than ever during the 2020-2021 school year. In the face of unprecedented obstacles to recruiting and retaining members, our PTAs managed to achieve remarkable successes in strengthening their school communities. Although their efforts were a fraction of what is typically accomplished in a ‘normal’ year, PTA efforts made a lasting impact to benefit the Carlsbad Unified School District. This year, 1,682 Carlsbad PTA members volunteered 27,154 hours of service, equaling a contribution of nearly $775,000 to benefit Carlsbad schools, staff, students families. In Carlsbad Unified, we are fortunate to have such wonderful support from our parent community. We’re incredibly thankful for the support of our parent volunteers.
