The MiraCosta College Matriculation Field Trip is onFriday, April 14th. The field trip is for seniors who plan to attend MiraCosta College. Students will receive an orientation, campus tour and academic advising. Attending the field trip also gives students priority registration, allowing them to register up to 10 days ahead of other students. The following steps must be completed in order to attend the field trip; 1. Apply to MiraCosta College no later thanThursday, March 23(complete application steps 1-5); 2. Upon review of the application you will be notified if you need to take the placement test. The placement test will be given at CHS onMarch 28from7:30-11:30 am. 3. Turn in a signed parent permission slip to Mrs. Becker in the counseling office byFriday, March 31. The permission slip is attached.

The United States Marine Corps Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy is a one week course abroad Marine Corps Base in Quantico, VA for Americas top high school students. Students must have completed their 10th grade year and have participated in athletic, leadership, and service activities. Staff Sergeant Sean Irish will host an information session on Wednesday March 22nd at 11:15 AM. Please sign up in the counseling office. This offering does not require commitment to this branch of service, its a one week camp with expenses paid. Applications due by April 1, 2017.
