Friday, October 18th is Lancer Day in Carlsbad to celebrate Carlsbad High School’s 62nd Homecoming. Here is a schedule of events. The Lancer Day Assembly takes place from 12:30 pm-1:15pm in Lancer Arena. During the assembly there will be performances by choir, orchestra, cheer, dance, and band. This year’s Grand Marshall,Tony Sullivan, will be introduced and finally there will be the presentation of this year’s Homecoming Court and crowning of the 2019 Lancer Day King and Queen. At 2:00 pm the annual Lancer Day Parade will take place downtown. The parade begins on Pine St. in front of the Senior Center and the parade route this year follows Pine St. to Madison St to Walnut Ave to Roosevelt St to Oak Ave. to Harding St and back to Pine St. (see attached map) The parade includes many groups from Carlsbad High School as well as representatives from all middle and elementary schools in the Carlsbad Unified School District. The day finishes at Bob Mcallister Field at Swede Krcmar Stadium, with the Homecoming Football game vs El Camino. The JV game begins at 4:30 pm and the Varsity game begins at 7:00 pm. There will be a fantastic halftime show where the court is announced and our award winning Band, Dance, and Cheer groups will perform. This year once again there will be a fireworks display at the end of the game.
